You Have A Choice!

YOU HAVE A CHOICE!

Never say…I don’t have a choice

You do have a Choice! Yes, you do have a choice!

No matter where you find yourself,

No matter how bad things are

No matter how unpleasant the situation is

No matter how frustrating the issue may be

You still have a Choice

You have a Choice to determine how you react and respond,

You have a Choice to use the unpleasant situation to your advantage

You have a choice to Stand and Fight

That you don’t have a choice is not true,

You do have a Choice!

Daniel did not have a choice about his captivity but

he had a choice of determining the kind of friends he wanted;

he did not have a choice about been taken to the palace but

he had a choice to determine what food to eat.

Joseph, David, Ruth to mention but a few found themselves in unpleasant situations but they chose not to let it define them. They all faced their challenges with determination and positivity.

Life is not about where we find ourselves

but about our attitudes to where we are

and our decisions on how we can get to where we desire.

You have a Choice!

Wisdom Calls

Proverbs 9 vs 3-6

3. She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth
Upon the highest places of the city,

4. Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither:
As for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

5. Come, eat of my bread,
And drink of the wine which I have mingled.

6. Forsake the foolish, and live;
And go in the way of understanding

Touch Not

Read Psalm 105 vs 13-15

13. When they went from one nation to another,
From one kingdom to another people;

14. He suffered no man to do them wrong:
Yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

15. Saying, Touch not mine anointed,
And do my prophets no harm.

*Say these words and keep saying them. They are not just words; they are spirit and they are life.

May the Lord rebuke ALL your enemies. Amen.

He Used The Ravens

Jesus speaking to you in Matthew 6v25, said…

Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Most times, we worry too much on these things Jesus said we should not.

You know what? You will do yourself good not to worry,
Don’t bother yourself on how God is going to work things out.

To Elijah, He said…
…and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. (1Kings17v4b)

If He had to command the ravens for Elijah’s sake. He will do much more for you. He hasn’t changed.

How He will do it,
Who or what He will use
Is His to decide.

Relax! God’s gat everything figured out and He will work it all out for your GOOD!

Gentleness

Thank God it’s Friday!!!
Our Friday Fruit is GENTLENESS

As written in Titus 3:2, we are to slander no one, but be peaceable and considerate, and always to be GENTLE toward everyone (emphasis mine).

You must be thinking, is that possible in this present age?
I thought of it too and I realise it’s very possible.

Possible, “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty (Zechariah 4v6).

Remember, Gentleness is a fruit of the Spirit. You can only live it by the help of the Holy Spirit. Just allow the Holy Spirit to have His way and you will realise how very much possible is it to display this fruit (Gentleness).

In conclusion,
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near (Philippians 4v5)

It is Temporal

Read and Meditate.

According to Ecclesiastes 3:1-11, there are “times” in life. There are times when life will be so sweet and things will be wonderful, but when the road gets rough, when the storms rage, when things get tough, just say to yourself, IT IS TEMPORAL.

Verse 17 of this same chapter says,
…our light affliction,is but for A MOMENT (paraphrased).

That affliction is for a moment,
That pain is for a moment,
That unpleasant situation is but for A MOMENT!

Refuse to worship that challenge,
Refuse to fix your attention on it.
Instead, fix your eyes, your heart, your soul, the whole of your being on the Word of God which is eternal. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matt 24:35).

Speak the Word of God to that “mountain” and say to yourself, it is TEMPORAL. I have my VICTORY.

Gutter Fight

Don’t ever wrestle with pigs, even when you are right and sure of winning. Because you both get dirty and the pig likes it.
However painful, this is one choice every wise person must make.
David was provoked extremely and dragged up to this point by King Saul. Even his lieutenants encouraged him to get into the gutter with Saul. But he refrained: “And he said to his men, ‘The Lord forbid that I should do this thing to my master…’So David restrained his servants with these words, and did not allow them to rise against Saul…” 1 Samuel 24:6-7. NKJV.
The only way to prove you are not a pig like them is not to join issues with them in the gutters, however tempting or justified. Or else you make the pigs happy.

Boundless

Without any doubt, possessing some qualities could give you a sort of leverage to reach your goal in life.
Education, family background, technical know-how, beauty, and stuff like that are some of the things that give you the wings to fly.
But all these put together still have their limitations.
Something is far more important and you could see this when the king of Egypt needed to hire someone who could manage the affairs of his nation: “And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
And Pharaoh said unto Joseph…Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled…” Genesis 41:38-40.
Joseph, a slave and convict, who had no education, or any of such desirable advantages; but had what others didn’t, the Spirit of God!
If we can create quality time to ceaselessly seek the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, as we do for these other things, I am sure He will take us beyond the limit of whatever advantages we already possess.

Heartometer

  • Speed is measured by an instrument called speedometer, temperature by thermometer, and the power output of an engine by dynamometer.

“Heartometer” is the instrument that measures the state of our heart.

And one of the times the state of your heart is revealed is when your mates are moving pass you or when you lose what they still have.

A woman lost her son, and the next thing she wanted was for her friend to lose hers also. So, she requested the king, “…Let him (the living child) be neither mine nor hers, but be divided.” 1 King 3:26.

If you derive consolation and comfort from seeing or wanting others to be as miserable as yourself, that adds nothing to you but shows how pathetic your heart is.

She was only happy for her friend because she had a son like she did. The horrible thing she had in heart was revealed when she lost hers.

How do you feel when your friend gets a job while you are still searching, or gets married when you still remain single, or doing well while you are still struggling? What is the state of your heart when your mates still hold their positions after you have lost yours, or their world still intact when yours is crashing?

Her bad hearted request notwithstanding, “the king answered and said, Give her (the other woman) the living child, and in no wise slay him: she is the mother thereof.” V. 27.

With such a bad heart, you’d shut the the door of God’s mercy and blessings against yourself.

Battered for Better

Sometimes, when the Lord wants to move you up, it might seem He’s messing you up. When He wants to make things better, it might seem like battering.
If you therefore do not understand the ways of the Spirit, you are likely going to miss the blessings intended for you.
“And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.” John 9:1. To help him to see, robbing sand on his eyes wouldn’t have come to mind. But that’s exactly what Jesus did! “…He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.” V. 6.
By the time he went to wash the mud away, as commanded, he “…came seeing.” V. 7.
Does it seems like everything is worsening despite leaving it in the hands of the Lord? If you can only allow Him to do it His way, it will surprise you how everything is going to turn out for your good.
