The Voice of the Lord

3. The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
The God of glory thunders;
The Lord is over many waters.

The voice of the Lord is powerful;
The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars,
Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.

He makes them also skip like a calf,
Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.

The voice of the Lord [e]divides the flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.

The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth,
And strips the forests bare;
And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”

Battered for Better

Sometimes, when the Lord wants to move you up, it might seem He’s messing you up. When He wants to make things better, it might seem like battering.
If you therefore do not understand the ways of the Spirit, you are likely going to miss the blessings intended for you.
“And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.” John 9:1. To help him to see, robbing sand on his eyes wouldn’t have come to mind. But that’s exactly what Jesus did! “…He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.” V. 6.
By the time he went to wash the mud away, as commanded, he “…came seeing.” V. 7.
Does it seems like everything is worsening despite leaving it in the hands of the Lord? If you can only allow Him to do it His way, it will surprise you how everything is going to turn out for your good.
