There is always a Way

THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY – THE ROOF TOP (Luke 5vs18-19)

In this account, some men brought their friend to Jesus so He could heal him. But getting to the place where Jesus was, the place was filled to the brim. There was no way for them to get through even at the door; which was supposed to be the only access (their only option to reach Jesus, to get to where he is).

But instead of giving up on their mission, seeing that the door was filled and their access blocked; they thought of another way to reach Jesus – the Roof Top.

These men refused to back down or even get discouraged, rather, they were motivated to look for another option to still achieve their goal. They chose to do something extra-ordinary; something beyond the norm. They went through the roof top to get to Jesus. Amazing!

Are you faced with a similar situation? Do you feel you have exhausted all options? Don’t get stuck. Don’t give in just yet. There is always a way…

Pause and Pray,

Ask God for Direction

Look inward and Meditate

There’s always a way to get it done

There’s always a way to achieve that goal.

If you feel the door is filled or the road is blocked,

Do the unusual

Do the extra ordinary

Defy all odds and

Go through the “Roof Top”, if you need to.

The Blessings of Obedience : Deuteronomy 28

As Christians, many times we keep waiting for answers to our prayers or for a miracle to happen; when God is actually waiting for our act of obedience to Him and His word. The answer to our prayer might come as an instruction and the miracle we are longing for might be tied to an act of obedience. In the book of Deuteronomy 28vs2, God said to His people …All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:
v3. You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
v4. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock— the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
v5. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
v6. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
v7. The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
v8. The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
v9. The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in obedience to him.
v10. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you.
v11. The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.
v12. The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
v13. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
v14. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.
Do you desire any of these blessings? If yes, then you must meet God’s criteria of obedience as stated in the first verse of this same chapter:

Deuteronomy 28vs1 – If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.

Therefore, to enjoy the blessings of obedience, we must obey fully and we must carefully follow ALL of God’s commandments.

Obedience is the price to pay to enjoy the blessings of God.

Eat What You Sow

Words are Seeds.
Once you speak them, you have sown them and once you’ve sown them, you are bound to harvest them.

You sow bad words,
You reap bad harvest.
You sow good words,
You reap good harvest.

You can’t sow bad words and reap good harvest.
You shall eat good by the fruit of your mouth!
(which has to be also good)
.

Proverbs 13 vs 2, the Bible says…  A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth.

*What fruit is your mouth producing?
Reflect on this.

Obey and Live

The only scriptural way to keep your soul and live is to Obey God’s Commandments.

A man of God once said,
“Every commandment of the scriptures is solely for our benefits”.
Therefore every scriptural commandment you keep is absolutely to your advantage!
You are only doing yourself good, obeying God’s commandments

In Proverbs chapter 19 verse 16, the Bible says:

Keep God’s laws and you will live longer… (Good News Translation)
.
Obey the Lord’s teachings and you will live… (Contemporary English Version)
.
Whoever obeys a commandment keeps himself safe… (International Standard Version)
.
The one who obeys commandments guards his life… (Net Bible)
.
Whoever obeys the law preserves his life… (God’s Word Translation)
.
Keep the commandments and keep your life… (New Living Translation)
.
Whoever keeps the commandment keeps his life… (English Standard Version)
.
Are you thinking so what if you don’t? Well, the Bible made it clear that such person will die (not just a natural death… Eternal Condemnation)
.
Make the wise decision,
Obey and Live!

Peace gives Stability

Peace is an essential fruit of the Spirit we need to exhibit as children of God in trying times like this.

In Psalm 119vs165 it is written, Abundant Peace belongs to those who love your instruction; nothing makes them stumble.

Daily reading of God’s word and meditating on the same, will bring us peace which will in turn give us stability.
.
Peace that brings Rest
Peace that gives Stability
Peace from the Word of God.
.
Peace… Be Still
Peace in the midst of storms
Peace over pandemic

The Voice of the Lord

3. The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
The God of glory thunders;
The Lord is over many waters.

The voice of the Lord is powerful;
The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars,
Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.

He makes them also skip like a calf,
Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.

The voice of the Lord [e]divides the flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.

The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth,
And strips the forests bare;
And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”
